On 2 March 2026, a delegation from the Conseil d’Etat led by Didier-Roland Tabuteau was received in The Hague by the Vice-President of the Dutch Council of State*, Thom de Graaf, and several Dutch councillors.
This working seminar provided an opportunity to discuss the missions of the two Councils of State, their composition and independence, as well as the boundaries of their jurisdiction with the judicial branch, Parliament and administrative authorities. It is part of the ongoing bilateral cooperation between the two jurisdictions.
*The Dutch Council of State (Rad van State), like its French counterpart, is both the legal adviser to the Government and the Supreme Administrative Court.
