Franco-Swedish bilateral seminar at the Council of State

On 13 and 14 April 2023, the Council of State welcomed a delegation from the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court* for a second bilateral working seminar, following the one organised in Stockholm in October 2020, as part of the ongoing dialogue that the institution maintains with its European counterparts.

The Swedish and French delegations discussed three topics of common interest and at the heart of European current affairs: religious beliefs and the neutrality of public service, climate justice and finally, the right of access to administrative documents in the light of the GDPR and the development of new technologies.

The Swedish delegation was led by its president, Helena Jäderblom, former judge at the European Court of Human Rights.

*The Supreme Administrative Court is the highest court of administrative jurisdiction in Sweden. It sits in the heart of Stockholm's historic centre and is composed of 16 judges.
