As part of the Council of State’s cooperation with its counterparts in the supreme courts, Vice President Marc Guillaume welcolmed Victor Dassi Adossou, President of the Supreme Court of Benin*, and Ibrahim David Salami, President of the Court’s Administrative Chamber.
This meeting led to fruitful discussions that will continue in the coming months: the Council of State will soon host an Advocate General and a Clerk from the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court.
* The Benin Supreme Court performs the litigation functions of the French Court of Cassation and Council of State. The Constitution also confers upon it an advisory role. It chairs the AA-HJF (African Association of Francophone High Courts), which brings together 23 countries and 40 courts.
